How to care for scented clothing
A scent in fabric is carried by tiny capsules bonded to the fibers. Heat, harsh detergent, and rough washing spend them faster. These are general care tips for scented clothing — not promises, just the habits that give a scent its best life.
The short list
- Wash cold, on gentle. Heat is the enemy of fragrance capsules.
- Use a mild, unscented detergent. A strongly fragranced detergent doesn't preserve the scent — it shouts over it.
- Line dry when you can. A hot dryer spends scent fast.
- Store it away from strong smells. Fabric picks up its neighbors; a drawer of scented candles will rewrite your shirt.
- Don't wash what isn't dirty. Air a worn piece out overnight. Every skipped wash is scent saved.
And the honest part
Even perfect care won't keep the scent at day-one strength forever. Scent is strongest when you first open your order and softens over time and with washing — that's how scented clothing works, and we'd rather you hear it from us before you buy than discover it after.
